This information is for external/topical use only and is not intended to replace prescribed medication or professional medical advice or to diagnose any kind of health condition.
Never ingest essential oils and remember to dilute them with an appropriate carrier oil such as Jojoba oil or coconut oil. This is due to the fact that organic and pure essential oils are highly concentrated liquids and direct use of essential oils on the skin can cause allergic reactions. Caution should be taken if you are a nursing or pregnant mother. Keep out of reach of children.
Talk to your healthcare practitioner before selecting an essential oil that is appropriate for your state of health and unique individual constitution.

Gaharu bouya (Aetoxylon Sympetalum) is a tree that grows up to 50 meters with a trunk diameter of approximately 60 cm. Plants take a minimum of 10 years to fully grow. The wood is one of the most valuable woods in the world. Oleoresin obtained from this tree is very fragrant and the most expensive. Various species can grow in Indonesia (Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Papua, and Sumbawa). Type & variety, geographical location, tree part, length of time of infection (sap comes out when the stem is injured), and harvesting and processing methods affect the aromatic quality of gaharu essential oil.
A brief History: Known as Oudh, Oud, Agarwood, Agar, Eaglewood, Aloeswood and Agarwood. This tree is claimed to come from various parts of the world, including India, Malaysia, South China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Cambodia. Agarwood essential oil has been a very important cultural and religious practice since ancient times in various civilizations. Incense and perfumes made from agarwood oil are highly valued for their spiritual, luxurious, and aphrodisiac purposes. References are found in Hindu, Islamic, Christian, and Buddhist texts. Agarwood oil is traded internationally between producing countries namely Southeast Asia & the Tropics and consuming countries namely the Middle East. Usage History: Gaharu essential oil producers extract oil from the wood resin of the agarwood tree through a steam distillation process. During the process, the wood is immersed in water for 30 to 90 days then the wood is placed in a large steam boiler where the water evaporates with resin and accumulates in a condenser. Then the oil and water are separated. Agarwood is a tree that is highly respected in Islamic, Buddhist, and Hindu cultures. Gaharu essential oil contains stimulant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, aphrodisiac, tonic, carminative, antiastatic, astringent, antibacterial, antifungal
