The robusta coffee plant (Coffea canephora Pierre) is a plant originating from Uganda. This plant entered Indonesia around 1900. This plant has superior properties and grows very quickly, this makes this plant dominate coffee plantations in Indonesia [3]. Robusta coffee plants grow well at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level to 700 meters above sea level, the ideal temperature is 21 to 24 degrees Celsius with 3 to 4 dry and rainy months each. Good soil for growing robusta should have an acidity level or pH level of around 5 to 6.5. In the world of coffee trade, the quality of robusta is considered lower than arabica and liberica [4,5].
