Organic geranium essential oil is steam distilled from pelargonium graveolens leaves. Geranium oil is included in the middle / middle classification.

Geranium essential oil is obtained from the aromatic leaves of a number of Pelargonium cultivars that grow mainly in Reunion, China and Algeria. The essential oil of rose geranium species has been linked to a number of biological properties including: antibacterial, antifungal, as well as several other pharmacological properties such as anti-inflammatory, spasmolytic, and hypoglycemic effects (Boukhris et al., 2012).

Geranium essential oil is pale yellow to pale green and is almost colorless and has a delicate, floral aroma with a fresh, sweet taste.
