Myristicin can actually be used as an insecticidal agent, flavor enhancer in cigarettes, chemopreventive and hepatoprotective, but this compound can give the same hallucinatory effect as narcotics. Along with the times, this nutmeg essential oil is even used as a raw material for aromatherapy which is stress relieving because of its myristicin content.
